As Project Manager for the AUT Estates Design and Project Management Team, I have worked closely with Seating Services NZ for over 13 Years on a number of minor capital works projects, ranging from large 300 seat lecture theatre fit outs, to the removal of existing lecture theatre seating and reprioritisation and installation to upgraded lecture theatres. Seating Services NZ have been incredibly helpful in providing ideas and solutions to very complex fit outs and have always been available on short notice to meet our very tight university time frames. Rob from Seating Services NZ was great from the first point of contact with a quick response to the initial email query. Our first meeting was to have a look at removing the old bleachers and to sort out what we could do with new motorised bleachers in the space we had available. Within a week we had a quote and an accurate plan of what we had to work with. Rob and the team handled our last-minute request for DIO-AKL branding in their stride and made this change happen without fuss. The installation was completed 2 days earlier than planned and that gave our team extra time to clean up and get familiar with the motorised side of the bleachers.
